Hair Explosion Party hits the road

Good morning #fearLESS friends. Today I wanted to share with you a video documenting a new phase of my Hair Explosion Party. Yesterday I received a haircut (trim) for the first time since 2011. A major milestone!

My #‎fearLESS‬ journey continues from losing all my hair on my entire body in May of 2011. This was due to medications – the same medications that were given to me to treat IBD that also ended up giving me brain lesions. Not long after I had a two month hospital stay that almost took my life and left me with a permanent ileostomy. I was told my hair would NEVER grow back. That I now had Alopecia Universalis and I would need to come to terms with this.

My favorite mantra is: “That may be true for some, but that doesn’t have to be true for me.” I don’t know about you but I’m not a fan of  the term never! I continue to make progress each day. The journey continues. Follow my journey here, on my YouTube and my Facebook business page. I love getting comments and hearing back from all of you.

Be well, and fearLESS.  ~ Kim
